HoverSave Privacy Policy

Effective date: 4 October 2026

HoverSave is a web browser that blocks ads and trackers, with a built-in Ringtone Studio. This policy explains what the app does with your information. The short version: we do not collect it.

In short

Information stored on your device

The following is kept only on your iPhone or iPad and is never sent to us:

Private Browsing keeps cookies and website data in memory only, so they are discarded when you close the session.

Network requests the app makes

HoverSave connects to the internet in these ways. We do not operate any servers that receive your data.

  1. Websites you visit. Like any browser, the app loads the pages you ask for. Those websites receive your IP address and whatever the sites themselves collect. Their own privacy policies apply.
  2. Ad and tracker filter lists. To block ads, the app downloads public filter lists from third-party hosts, including easylist.to, fanboy.co.nz, pgl.yoyo.org and GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com). These hosts can see your device's IP address when the app downloads a list, as with any download. No browsing data is sent.
  3. Rule updates. The app may fetch ad-blocking rule updates from the developer's public GitHub repository. No personal data is sent.
  4. Search suggestions. While you type in the address bar, the text you type may be sent to the search engine you have chosen (for example Google, Bing, DuckDuckGo or Brave) to provide suggestions. That search engine's privacy policy applies. We do not receive or see what you type.

Camera and microphone

HoverSave does not use your camera or microphone itself. A website you visit may ask to use them, for example for a video call. iOS asks for your permission, and you can say no. The app does not record or store this audio or video.

What we do not do

Children

HoverSave is a general-purpose browser and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Your choices

You can clear your history and bookmarks in the app, use Private Browsing, turn ad blocking on or off, and revoke camera or microphone access in iOS Settings. Deleting the app removes all data it stored on your device.

Changes to this policy

If the app's behaviour changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy and its effective date before the change takes effect.
